Cheekbone Filling

Prominent cheekbones create a more attractive and youthful appearance in both men and women. Prominent cheekbones make the face look thinner and more symmetrical with the cheeks. So why is cheekbone filler needed?

As we age, volume loss occurs in the cheeks and cheekbones, as in other areas of the face. In addition, the fat pads in this area begin to descend under the influence of gravity. Injectable dermal fillers can be used to restore and reshape this lost volume.

Cheekbone filler is preferred by many women and men because it adds volume to the cheeks, in addition to creating a more youthful appearance. However, the right point here is to apply as much as needed and not to overdo it. Especially in fat faces, when the filler applied to the cheekbone is overdone, the face becomes even larger.

When we say cheekbone filler, we are talking about the midface area and the cheekbone area close to the ear. With fillers placed in the midface area, the flat appearance of this area is eliminated. Moreover, support is provided to the under-eye area. Because when the need for filler arises in the under-eye area, the under-eye area is supported and less filler is needed thanks to the filler placed in the midface area. In addition, the depth of the nasolabial area and the sagging in the area close to the chin called prejowl are relieved. When filler is applied to the cheekbone area close to the ear, the area called jowl towards the corner of the chin is shaped, and the sagging of the skin here is relieved.

After the procedure, it is important not to touch the application area, not to get it in contact with water, and not to wear make-up. After approximately 3-4 weeks, we call our patient for a check-up and go over our procedure. The important thing here is not to overdo it with the filler application. It is extremely important to follow your doctor’s recommendations to avoid an artificial appearance.
